1.INTRODUCTION
What is an event pass?
An event pass is a product whose tickets give access to more than one performance of the same event (and venue)
How many sessions can one event pass have?
There is no limit, the only requisite is that it must contain at least more than one.
TYPES OF EVENT PASSES
At Onebox we have developed two types of event passes, restrictive and non-restrictive.
The difference between the two has to do with how you will be able to manage the capacity once you link which seats you want to put on sale with each pass.
Specifically, the non-restrictive pass allows the simultaneous combination of the sale of seats both in the event pass session and in the individual sessions that make it up.
Whereas, the restrictive pass does not allow this combination, making the capacity available for sale exclusive to that session. In short, a seat can be on sale either in the individual sessions or in the event pass sessions.
Types of event passes/differences
Restrictive event pass
· The seats linked to the event pass are not available in the individual sessions.
· Supports blocking.
· It can be numbered, unnumbered or mixed.
· An individual session can only be linked to one event pass session.
Non-restrictive event pass
· The seats linked to the event pass can also be sold in individual sessions.
· It does not support blocking.
· Only seated events are supported. If an event combines seated and unseated zones, the seated zones will allow the management of the capacity of the non-restrictive event pass, but not the unseated zones, which will continue to manage the capacity as a restrictive event pass.
*Note: Once you have created your event and chosen the type of event pass it cannot be changed.
What is an event pass?
This is a type of ticket that groups together several sessions. As we have explained in the previous section, it allows numbered seats to be linked and these are in free status in both individual and event pass sessions until they are sold in either of their sessions: individual or event pass sessions. If the sale takes place in any of the event pass sessions, it is included in the individual sessions that make up the event pass as well as in any other event pass session that shares the same event template.
In other words, any seat can be purchased by the end customer, either for a single session or for all the sessions included in the event pass.
2.CONFIGURATION
To start, you must have configured the event with the non-restrictive event pass permissions in: General Data > Other configurations > Session packs > The event allows you to configure event passes > Select Free pass type.
*Please note: this configuration is final and cannot be changed at a later date.
The creation mode is exactly the same as the restrictive event pass. Once this option has been activated, go to Event management > Events > Event passes > New > Create new event pass.
*Note: Sessions must be previously created and In Programming.
When creating the Event pass you have to configure: name, rate, ticket tax and surcharge tax, start and end date of the sale and select the sessions included. These sessions must share the same event template.
The general configuration of the non-restrictive event pass is done in Event passes > Programming.
The linking of seating capacity is done in the same way, Event passes> Seating Capacity. To do this, it is necessary to select the seats in the graphic view from the event pass session or in the tree view and select the Linked option in the Event pass group, bearing in mind that if there are blocked seats in the individual sessions, they will lose their blocking if they are linked to the event pass and put in "free" status.
In this type of event pass, we recommend working with sales groups and not with blocks.
Images and captions other than the general event captions can be configured under the Event passes > Communication tab, as well as specific aspects of the event under Other options.
Promotions and discounts will be configured within the "Promotions" tab. Here we must be careful to select the Product to which the promotion applies.
Once everything is configured, we can see how it looks if we set the event pass to Pending publication and the event to Ready, within the channels link.
Once it is set up as we want it, we can put it up for sale.
Peculiarities
· The restrictive pass does not allow blocking.
- If you block a seat in an individual session that is linked to the non-restrictive event pass, it is unlinked to the event pass. If you subsequently unblock it from the session, it is automatically linked again.
· Unnumbered zones in the non-restrictive Pass would become restrictive event pass zones.
- Therefore, unnumbered areas, such as reduced mobility areas, can be blocked.
· We recommend working with "Sales groups", so that if you do not want to see any available seat, instead of blocking it, you can simply hide it. To do this, select which sales groups are available in each channel in the section "Channels" > "General data" > "Sales groups".
