In the configuration of an event we can add surcharges. These surcharges are management fees that are added to the final price of the tickets and are charged to the buyer.
There are different ways of adding these surcharges, you can choose the one that best suits your objectives:
- Predetermined management fees at the event
To configure a surcharge that affects the entire event, you can go to the Prices > Surcharges > Ticket surcharges. Here you can set the amount of the handling fee as a fixed surcharge, a percentage, a minimum and maximum surcharge, or you can set a new price range.
You can also set limits on the surcharges or determine different surcharges for invitations or promotional tickets in the section Surcharges for invitations and Surcharges for promotional tickets.
Once the surcharge has been configured, go to the Channels > Surcharges tab and select the Use default event surcharges option.
It is possible to configure surcharges at entity level.
To configure these surcharges it is necessary to do it in the Cpanel start menu, selecting the name of your entity.
Once selected, click on the option Organiser surcharges and configure the desired surcharge, as shown in the image.
Once set up, go to My Events > Prices > Surcharges and select the Import Default surcharges option.
2. Channel-specific management fees
This option allows you to define surcharges for the sales channel different from those established in the event by default (previous case). For example, in the case of wanting to apply a surcharge for the organiser other than the generic one that has been established within the event (previous point):
- Within the event and the channel we need to configure, go to Channels > Surcharges, and select the option Define specific surcharges for the channel and add the surcharge in Fixed Surcharge, Percentage, Minimum and Maximum Surcharge or determine a new price range.
You can also fix different surcharges for discount tickets in the section Surcharges for discount tickets.
- It is also necessary to configure the management costs at the sales request level (this is configured by the channel itself). In other words, the channels that are not owned by the Organiser and that have to indicate some kind of surcharge, must manage it from the Sales Request. See manual Configure surcharges and costs.
The Surcharges section within the event and the channel in question would be as follows:
With the Final price preview, we can see how the management costs and final price paid by buyer are distributed.
Separate handling fee for promotional tickets
First you need to select the option "Define surcharges for discount tickets" either in the Channels > Surcharges tab (within the event) or in the Operative > Surcharges tab (within the channel sales request).
Finally, it is necessary to select the following options within the promotion:
If you want to set up alternative channel surcharges, select the option Promotion with alternative channel surcharges/costs in the Discount Operation.
If you want to set up alternative organizer surcharges, select the option Promotion with alternative organizer surcharges in the Discount Operation.
