The promotions of an event are configured using the following path: Events > My Events > Promotions.
Before registering a promotion, you can see the different types of promotions available in this article: Types of promotions.
Follow these steps to create a new promotion:
- Select the option (+) and configure the basic information of the promotion: type of promotion, name of the promotion and description.
2. Once the promotion has been created, you can configure it through the sections General data, Limits and conditions, Discount types, Zones:
General data configuration.
- General information: Name of the promotion, if you activate the check, you will be able to use the same name of the promotion for the communication in the sales channels. You can also specify another name in the sales channels in the Communication in sales channels section, where you can specify the name of the promotion that will appear in the sales channels and in the description of the promotion.
Limits and conditions
- Collectives: If applicable, select the collective to which you want to apply the promotion.
- Surcharges: Select whether you want the promotion to have a channel-specific or organiser-specific surcharge.
- Promotion data on the ticket: Ticket options: Select if you want to show the data of the applied promotion on the ticket.
- Access control: Select if you want a different visual and acoustic warning to appear when validating the ticket with a specific promotion associated in the access control for this promotion.
- Validity period: Indicates the period during which the user can take advantage of the promotion. The periods are counted from 00:00 to 23.59.
- Sales channel: Select the channel or channels through which you want the promotion to be applied. You can choose one, several or all of them. You can also indicate that channels can specify alternative channel costs or surcharges for sales made through this promotion.
- Limits: Select the limits of the promotion
The types of limits vary depending on the type of promotion you have created.
For Automatic promotions, it is only possible to set these limits:
Setting the Discount types (incentive)
- Discount type: Select the type of discount for the promotion: fixed, percentage or new base price.
Remember that the Basic Manual Promotions do not allow you to set up an incentive New Base Price.
Allocation zones:
- Assign to sessions: Select the sessions to which the promotion will be applied.
- Assign to price zones: configure in which price zones they can be applied.
- Assign to Rates: Configure which rates can be applied.
Other aspects to be taken into account
- Alternative surcharges: If you have configured alternative surcharges in the Channels tab, in sales requests or in the channel itself; it is necessary to check the option All channels in the desired promotion:
If you want to set up alternative surcharges for the channel, select the option Promotion with alternative channel surcharges/costs in the Discount Operation.
If you want to set up alternative surcharges for the organiser, select the option Promotion with alternative organiser surcharges in Promotion limits and conditions.
- Private discount: A private discount allows only those users who validate themselves in a group to complete the purchase process. Therefore, this option is only available if the promotion is aimed at a collective that has already been created.
To configure this option, it is necessary to select the section Private discount. Sales are restricted to clients of a certain collective.
