Types of promotions

Before configuring a new promotion, bear in mind the type of promotion you want to set up. There are 3 types of promotion:

They can be of 3 types:

Automatic: Oriented to give a price incentive, visible and comparable from the beginning of the purchase. The viewer or final customer will not have to select anything, it will appear automatically.

Discount: Oriented to give a different price or establish a new base price. It can be fixed discount, percentage or a new base price. Requires activation by the user through a validation code (if required).

Promotion: Applicable to groups with validation or to all users. Requires activation by the user through a validation code.

 

You must bear in mind that:

Two promotions in the same channel and session, do not sum up.

Two discounts in the same channel and session, do not sum up.

A promotion and a discount on the same channel and session do sum up.

An automatic promotion and a discount on the same channel and session do sum up

An automatic promotion and a promotion in the same channel and session do sum up.
